WORDS TO LIVE BY

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Phil. 4:6

POWER OF PRAYER

Prayer is the Christian’s daily lifeline with God. As we pray, we seek to know God on a deeper and more intimate level. An acronym that helps us accomplish this is A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication). We praise God for Who He is, confess and repent of our daily sin, thank God for His blessings and intercede for the needs of others. Although this describes more formal prayer, God is ready to hear all manner of sincere prayer, no matter where you are, whom you are with, or what you are doing. Our Heavenly Father loves to hear and answer His children’s prayers, prayed according to His will. He comforts us and gives us strength each day to be more Christ-like in our love for others.

Prayer Requests

“I will lift my eyes to the hills. From where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

If you would like to make a prayer request, please e-mail or call Pastor Menk or the Church office at (847) 234-1868.

Faith also has a Prayer Chain of members who regularly pray for special needs within our congregation and the community around us. If you would like the Prayer Chain to pray about your special need, please e-mail your request, or contact the Church office.

Our Prayer for You

Father, we lift up all those who may be reading these words, that they may believe that “God so loved the world that He gave up His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16. Amen
