MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

As a member of Faith, you’ll be able to take part in a variety of ministry opportunities. These take the form of volunteer assistance compatible with your unique spiritual gifts. Consider the following:

Ladies (and gentlemen) of Faith are invited to participate in the altar care of our sanctuary. Training and instruction is provided. If you have any questions or would like to join our Altar Care group, please contact the church office at (847) 234-1868, or send us an e-mail message.

Become an usher and help pass out bulletins to those attending Sunday services. Ushers also help in many other ways before, during and after the services. If you have any questions or would like to become an Usher, please contact the church office at (847) 234-1868, or send us an e-mail message.

Members of Faith are invited to assist Pastor with the communion service. Training and instruction provided. If you have any questions or would like to become a Communion Assistant, please contact the church office at (847) 234-1868, or send us an e-mail message.

Our Lay Ministry Committee is interested in implementing a program of church greeters. This is a great opportunity for members of Faith to get involved by welcoming visitors to our church and helping them feel at home. If you would like to serve as greeters at the 10:30 a.m. service, please e-mail us or call the office at (847) 234-1868.

Become a member of the adult bell choir and have a fun-filled bell ringing time. No experience necessary – you don’t even have to be able to read music. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 p.m.  If you are interested in joining, call Music Director Karen Jirsa at the church office.

Lend your voice and assist in beautifying and enriching the music during our services by joining the Adult Choir. Singers high school age and up are invited to join. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 8:00 p.m., and/or Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. If you are interested in joining, call Music Director Karen Jirsa at the church office.
