OUR MISSION & MINISTRY

Our mission at Faith is “Glorifying God by spreading the Gospel through preaching, teaching and living our daily lives.” Over the years, our Lord has provided many opportunities for outreach in His name.

Besides generously supporting various Synod ministries, we also assist several other domestic and foreign mission projects. Food and other life supplies are gathered year-round for community members in need. Through these ministries, and many others, we encourage each other to become faithful managers of our time, talent and money for the Lord’s work.

Serving God

We all have spiritual gifts to share, and at Faith you’ll find lots of opportunities to share yours. A Church Council guides the daily operations of our congregation, and the following boards and committees work together to carry out our mission and ministry: Elders; Caring; Stewardship; Christian Education; Fellowship; Music and Worship; Trustees; and Lay Ministry.

There are other ways to get involved and serve Christ. Several active groups focus on outreach and evangelism efforts within our congregation and community, including the Mary-Martha Guild, Very Energetic Retired Volunteers (VERV), Prayer Chain, Youth Groups, Uptown Ministry in Chicago, and Project Renewal.

Christ-Centered Preschool

The Faith Lutheran Christian Preschool is located at the intersection of Highway 41 and Deerpath Road in Lake Forest and offers preschool for children ages three through five.

The schools are open to all families, members and non-members alike, who believe an early Christian education is valuable for their children. The schools fully licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
